Mom, this is a really cool book!

Greer Hampton, age 12

When I first brought "Her Story" home and placed it on the coffee table in the living room, my 3-year old daughter was drawn to it almost immediately. She claimed it as her own and proceeded to place it on the nightstand in her room. Every night since, she chooses the remarkable women she wants Mommy to read about, from Mary Church Terrell to Wonder Woman. Thank you for your vision to inspire even the littlest of women like mine.

My first impression when I opened the book and saw the overwhelming number of women was... "WOW". I never thought there were so many omen in history that had tremendous roles and impacts on American history. "Her Story" is a great inspiration and a reminder of the many possibilities we can all accomplish no matter what gender, ethnicity, or age.

"We have many immigrants and new citizens who come into the store looking for books about American history. "Her Story" is one of the three books I recommend for them to read."

"Let me tell you personally how impressed I am with "Her Story." You may not know that I worked in University Press publishing for over 25 years with responsibility for manuscript editing, supervising production, and generally following a book from MS to finished copy; so I have had ample experience to truly appreciate the work you both have accomplished.

The research, selecting, and organizing of the material was a tremendous task, and you both can be proud of the results. The design and use of time lines makes for a visually attractive and attention-getting final product; this was one tough proof reading job!"

"I'm on jury duty, and I am taking the book with me.  I have several short breaks every day, and I'm managing to get through a few women on each of them.  I'm enthralled.  You did an awesome job capturing the changing status of women along the time line.  My bonnet is off to you and Charlotte."

"On behalf of the Pamlico County Library, I would like to thank you for the donation of Her Story." Your book is well-written, in-depthly [sic] researched, and visually appealing. Many of our patrons have enjoyed reading it. I know that it will be even more popular when school starts. We appreciate your gift and look forward to your future publications."
